The Lord commands by Isaiah the Prophet, "Bind up the testimony, seal the Law among my disciples" Isaiah 8: 16. The seal of the Lord's law is found in the fourth commandment. This only, of all ten, brings to view both the Name and the title of the Lawgiver. It declares him to be the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and thus show his claim to reverence and worship above all others. Aside from this precept, there is nothing in the decalogue to show by whose authority the law is given. When the sabbath was changed by the papal power, the seal was taken from the law. The disciples of The Lord are called upon to restore it, by exalting the sabbath of the fourth commandment to its rightful position as the Creator's memorial and the sign of his authority. "To the Law and the Testimony..." While conflicting doctrines and theories abound, the Law of The Lord is the one unerring rule by which all opinions, doctrines and theories are to be tested. Says the prophet, "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is not light in them" Isaiah 8: 20.
"The manner in which this law was given attest its special sanctity and high authority. Before its announcement, the people of Israel, by solemn rites, sanctified themselves, while the holy mountain was girded with the death-line which no mortal could pass and live. When the appointed day came, to the sublime accompaniment of pealing thunders and flashing lightning, the loud shrilling of angel blown-blown trumpets, the smoking mountain, and the quaking earth, from the lips of the Creator himself sounded forth 'with a great voice' the awful sentences of this divine law, to which in the same way he added no more, Deut. 5: 22. Not by the mouth of an angel or prophet came this sublimest code of morals, but the words were formed in air by the power of the Eternal himself. And it was to be recorded, no human scribe took down the sacred utterances; they were graved by no angel hand; but with his own finger on tables of stone, whose preparation, in the first instance, was the words of the Creator...
"Of the law thus impressively given, the fourth commandment forms a part. Amid the same cloud of glory, the same thunders and lightings, uttered by the same dread voice of the Infinite One, and graven by his finger, came forth these words as well: 'Remember the Sabbath day to keep it Holy' It is impossible in view of these facts, to class the Sabbath with the ceremonial institutions of Israel. By the sacred seal of the divine lip and finger, it has been raised far above those perishing rites. In other words it belongs to that moral law which Paul calls "...holy, and just, and good (Romans 7: 12)
The papacy has attempted to change the law of the Creator. the second commandment, forbidding image worship, has been drop from the law, and the fourth commandment has been so changed as to authorize the observance of the first instead as the seventh day as the sabbath. But papist urge as a reason for omitting the second commandment, that it is unneccesary, being included in the first, and that they are given the law exactly as the Creator designed to be understood. This can not be the change foretold by the prophet. And intentional, deliberate change is brought to view: "He shall think to change times and law"Daniel 7: 25 The changed of the fourth commandment exactly fulfills the prophecy. For this change the only authority claimed is that of the church. Here the Papal power openly sets itself above the Creator.
The claim so often put forth, that Christ changed the Sabbath, is disproved by his own words. In the sermon in the mount he declared: "Think not that I come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill, for verily I say unto you, TILL HEAVEN AND EARTH PASS, ONE JOT OR ONE TITTLE SHALL IN NO WISE PASS FROM THE LAW, TILL ALL BE FULFILLED. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandment, AND SHALL TEACH MEN SO, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven, (the least will lose their souls) but whosoever shall DO and TEACH them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5: 17-19
"Through the two great errors, the immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness, Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the former lays the foundation of spiritualism, the latter creates a bond of sympathy with Rome. Protestantism will yet stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of spiritualism; she will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the Roman power; and under the influence of this three fold union, our country will follow in the steps of Rome in TRAMPLING on the rights of conscience"
Baptist: "There was and is a command to keep holy the Sabbath day, but the Sabbath day was not Sunday. It will however be readily said, and with some show of triumph, that the Sabbath was transferred from the seventh to the first day of the week, with all its duties, privileges and sanctions. Earnestly desiring information on this subject, which I have studied for many years, I ask, where can the record of such transaction be found? Not in the New Testament absolutely not. There is not scriptural evidence of the change of the Sabbath institution from the seventh to the first day of the week."
-Dr. E. T. Hiscox, author of the Baptist Manual.
Congregationalist: "It is quite clear that however rigidly or devotedly we may spend Sunday, we are not keeping the Sabbath...The Sabbath was founded on specific, divine command. We can PLEAD not such command for the observance of Sunday...There is not a single line in the New Testament to suggest that we incur any penalty by violating the SUPPOSED sanctity of Sunday"
-Dr. R. W. Dale, "The Ten Commandments" page 106-107.
Protestant Episcopal: "The Day is now changed from the seventh to the first day...but as we meet with not Scriptural direction for the change, we may conclude it was done by the authority of the church"
"Explanation of Catechism"
Baptist: "The Scriptures nowhere call the first day of the week the Sabbath...There is not Scriptural authority for so doing, nor of course any Scriptural obligation." "The Watchman"
Presbyterian: "There is no word, no hint in the NEW TESTAMENT about abstaining from work on Sunday. The observance of Ash Wednesday, or Lent, stands exactly on the same footing as the observance of Sunday. Into the rest of Sunday no Divine Law enters." -Canon Eyton, in "The Ten Commandments"
Anglican: "And where are we told in the Scriptures that we are to keep the first day at all? We are commanded to keep the seventh; but we are nowhere commanded to keep the first day." -Isaac Williams, "Plains Sermons on the Catechism," pp. 334, 336.
Disciples of Christ: "There is no direct Scriptural authority for designating the first day 'the Lord's Day.' -Dr. D. H. Lucas, "Christian Oracle," January, 1890
Methodist: "It is true that there is no positive command for infant baptism. Nor is there any for keeping holy the first day of the week. Many believe that Christ changed the sabbath. But, from his own words, we see that he came for no such purpose. Those who believe that Jesus changed the sabbath base it ONLY on a SUPPOSITION." -Amos Binney, "Theological Compendium" pp. 180-181
Episcopalian: "We have made the change from the seventh day to the first day, from Saturday to Sunday, on the authority of the one holy, catholic, apostolic church of Christ." -Bishop Symour, "Why we keep Sunday"
Southern Baptist: "The sacred name of the seventh day is Sabbath. This fact is too clear to require argument (Exodus 20: 10 quoted)... On this point the plain teaching of the Word has been admitted in all ages...Not once did the disciples apply the Sabbath law to the first day of the week- that FOLLY was left for a later age, nor did they pretend that the first day supplanted the seventh." -Joseph Judson Taylor, "The Sabbath Question." pp 14-17, 41.
American Congregationalist: "The current notion that Christ and his apostles authoritatively substituted the first day for the seventh, is absolutely without any authority in the New Testament." -Dr. Layman Abbot, in the "Christian Union," June 26, 1890
Christian Church: "Now there is not testimony in all the oracles of heaven that the Sabbath is changed, or that the Lord's day came in the room of it." -Alexander Campbell, in "The Reporter," October 8, 1921
Baptist: "To me it seems unaccountable that Jesus, during three years discussion with His disciples, often conversing with them upon the Sabbath question, discussing it in some of its various aspects, freeing it from its false (Jewish Traditional) glosses, never alluded to any transference of the day; also, that during the forty days of his resurrection life, no such thing was intimated. Nor, so far as we know, did the Spirit, which was given to bring to their remembrance all things whatsoever that He had said unto them, deal with this question. Nor yet did the inspired apostles, in preaching the Gospel, founding churches, counseling and instructing those founded, discuss or approach the subject.
"Of course I quite well know that Sunday did come into use in early Christian history as a religious day, as we learn from the Christian Fathers and other sources. But what a pity it comes branded with the mark of PAGANISM, and christened with the name of the sun-god, then adopted and sanctified by the Papal Apostasy, and bequeathed as a sacred legacy to Protestantism" -Dr. E. T. Hiscox, report of his sermon at the Baptist Minister's Convention, in "New York Examiner," November 16, 1893
>"Sunday is a catholic institution, and its claim and observance can be defended only on catholic principles...From beginning to end of Scripture there is not a single passage that warrants the transfer of weekly public worship from the last day of the week to the first"
Catholic Press, Sydney Australia, August 1900.>"Protestantism, in discarding the authority of the (Roman Catholic) Church, has not good reason for its Sunday theory, and ought logically to keep Saturday as the Sabbath." >John Gilmary Shea in the "American Catholic Quarterly Review" January 1883.
"Protetants...accept Sunday rather than Saturday as the day for public worship after the catholic church made the change...But the Protestant mind does not seem to realize that...in observing the Sunday, they are accepting the authority of the spokesman for the church, The Pope." -"Our Sunday Visitor," February 5, 1950

"Through the two great errors, the Immortality of the soul and Sunday sacredness Satan will bring the people under his deceptions. While the Immortality of the Soul lays the foundation of spiritualism, Sunday sacredness creates a bond of sympathy with Rome." "The Protestants of the United States will be FOREMOST in stretching their hands across the gulf to grasp the hands of spiritualism; they will reach over the abyss to clasp hands with the church of Rome; and under the influence of this three fold union, this country will follow in the steps of Rome in trampling on the rights of conscience" EGW "The Great Controversy"
In the book "The Great Controversy" by Ellen G. White, the
last events of this earth history are presented historically, biblically,
and prophetically with almost all of the prophetic details we need to know
to be prepared for the horrific events that are soon to take place here
in America and the rest of the world. The so called day or rest, what is
known in the local and state governments as "Blue
Laws" or Sunday Laws is one of the issues
that will take this country to repudiate the wonderful US Constitution and
the Bill of Rights, even today we can see the erosion of these important
documents. >
>Only a few
can believe these events could happen in the future, (IN AMERICA) because
the spiritual eyes of the majority are blinded to the truth of the Bible. If you want to read
this profound book order your free copy today. >Don't
be taken by surprise as you are personally responsible to know the future
(in the Bible) and to be prepared, because ignorance is not a protection.
There are plenty of books sounding the alarm, books as Malachi Martin's
"The Keys To His Blood". In his pro-catholic book clearly states
that the catholic church will rule the world again, as he uncover the mechanism
and prepares the hearts of many to accept the overcome. Also Dave Hunt in
his book "A Woman Rides The Beast" (Dave Hunt is a Sunday keeper)
we see the same events again from a biblical point of view. But "The
Great Controversy" still is the best book in this issue, because carry
us to the very end, when the US will have an important roll implementing
"The Mark Of The Beast". We don't
believe that The Sunday Law is the mark of the beast, but that will play
a part rushing in the Mark Of The Beast.
